Review of ‘The Zionists who Hate Jews’

With incidents of violence based on religion, ethnicity, and politics on the rise globally, Joss Sheldon’s book The Zionists who Hate Jews is a timely and useful book to read, albeit, somewhat controversial. His thesis, that the Zionist movement which was instrumental in the creation of the state of Israel, was actually established by people who, despite being Jewish themselves, hated Jews, and who formed close alliances with some of Europe’s most powerful and notorious antisemites, including Germany’s Nazis, will not go down will with many; it will, in fact, offend quite a few people.

This book, though, is well-documented, and it outs the perpetrators, including many American Christian zealots, who are among the most ardent supporters of Israel while, at the same time, being rabidly antisemitic.

Well written, and hard hitting, it will challenge every assumption you might hold about religious intolerance and the danger of merging religion with politics. It’s not a comfortable read, but, that is what makes it a must-read. It gets you out of your comfort zone and inspires critical thinking—a skill that is in short supply these days.  This is a book that should definitely be on your reading list.

The author provided me with a review copy of this book. I give it five stars.
